Major functions of the Dehra RTOs

According to the 1988, Motor Vehicles Act, the Dehra RTOs are entrusted with the following duties.

• Issuing PUC certificates to vehicles after rigorous testing.
• Issuing fitness certificates for vehicles paying on the roads of Himachal Pradesh.
• Issuing NOCs or No Objection Certificates for vehicles during resale.
• Conducting hypothecation endorsements and termination for vehicles in the registration certificate.
• Issuing other permits to vehicles like interstate permits, goods carriage permits, and more.

How can you register your vehicle under the Dehra RTO?

For any new vehicles, both private and commercial, would need to be registered with the RTOs in Dehra for legal use on the city’s roads. In case you have bought a new vehicle in Dehra, here is how you can register your vehicle with the Dehra RTO.
