Major functions of the Raigad RTOs

According to the 1988, Motor Vehicles Act, the Raigad RTOs are entrusted with the following duties.

• Inspection of vehicles at check posts and other areas.
• Issuing PUC certificates to vehicles after rigorous testing.
• Issuing fitness certificates for vehicles paying on the roads of Maharashtra.
• Issuing NOCs or No Objection Certificates for vehicles during resale.
• Conducting hypothecation endorsements and termination for vehicles in the registration certificate.
• Issuing other permits to vehicles like interstate permits, goods carriage permits, and more.

How can you register your vehicle under the Raigad RTO?

For any new vehicles, both private and commercial, would need to be registered with the RTOs in Raigad for legal use on the city’s roads. In case you have bought a new vehicle in Raigad, here is how you can register your vehicle with the Raigad RTO.
