Major functions of the Margao RTOs

According to the 1988, Motor Vehicles Act, the Margao RTOs are entrusted with the following duties.

• Inspection of vehicles at check posts and other areas.
• Issuing PUC certificates to vehicles after rigorous testing.
• Issuing fitness certificates for vehicles paying on the roads of Goa.
• Issuing NOCs or No Objection Certificates for vehicles during resale.
• Conducting hypothecation endorsements and termination for vehicles in the registration certificate.
• Issuing other permits to vehicles like interstate permits, goods carriage permits, and more.

How can you register your vehicle under the Margao RTO?

For any new vehicles, both private and commercial, would need to be registered with the RTOs in Margao for legal use on the city’s roads. In case you have bought a new vehicle in Margao, here is how you can register your vehicle with the Margao RTO.

• Visit your nearest RTO in Margao with your vehicle to start the registration process.
