Major functions of the Vizianagaram RTOs

According to the 1988, Motor Vehicles Act, the Vizianagaram RTOs are entrusted with the following duties.

  • Issuing and renewing vehicle registration certificates or RCs for all types of vehicles paying on the state roads. This includes private, commercial, heavy vehicles, and everything in between.
  • Issuing and renewing driving licenses for individuals of the state. The RTOs are also eligible to issue international driving licenses as well.
